Signs & Symptoms of Stress

Excess stress can manifest itself in a variety of cognitive, emotional, physical and behavioural  symptoms.

Everyone experiences stress in different ways. Some people get angry and act out, others may develop eating disorders and some may consume high levels of alcohol, drugs and cigarettes. They also demonstrate poor nutritional and exercise choices. These unhealthy behaviours increase the severity of symptoms related to stress, often leading to a vicious cycle of symptoms and unhealthy behaviour.
